Film Production Company Philippines
The Production Behind the Vision. Yours, Not Ours.
Lucca Creatives is a full-service film production company in the Philippines that works with directors, filmmakers, and creative teams to get projects made — properly, and all the way through. We don’t take over the creative. We build the production around it.
Short films. Feature-length movie production. Documentaries. Branded cinematic work.
Whatever the project, we bring the same end-to-end capability: development support, a full production crew, and a post pipeline that delivers a finished film — not just footage.
Film and Movie Production in the Philippines, Done the Way Filmmakers Actually Need It.
Most production companies will tell you they support the director’s vision.
Fewer of them actually know what that means in practice — the conversations that need to happen in development, the on-set decisions that protect the story, the post choices that make or break the pacing of a cut.
Lucca approaches film and movie production as a creative and operational partnership. We are here to give your project the infrastructure it needs — crew, equipment, logistics, post — while staying out of the decisions that belong to you.
If you have a cut you’re happy with, we’ll finish it. If you need a collaborator in the room during development, we can be that too.
The level of involvement is yours to define.
What doesn’t change across any engagement is the standard we hold the production to.
Lucca runs broadcast-level discipline on film projects — because the craft deserves it, and because the filmmakers and brands we work with expect it.
Short Films. Documentaries. Branded Cinematic Work. Movie Production.
Short Film Production
Short films are where craft gets tested. Limited budget, compressed schedule, no margin for a disorganized production — everything has to be planned well and executed cleanly, or it shows up on screen.
We’ve worked with independent directors and emerging filmmakers who needed a film production partner in the Philippines that could hold the production together without watering down the ambition of the project.
That means a crew that understands the demands of narrative filmmaking, a producer who can make the budget work without cutting what matters, and a post process that treats the edit with the same seriousness the shoot received.
What this service includes:
- Development support — breakdown, scheduling, and budget modeling
- Line producing and production management
- Full crew deployment — director of photography, AC, gaffer, sound, art department
- Equipment provision — camera, lighting, and grip packages
- Location scouting, permitting, and logistics
- Post-production — offline edit through picture lock, color grade, sound mix, and delivery
- Festival delivery specifications and DCP preparation if required
Documentary Film Production
Documentary work demands a different kind of production discipline — one that can hold a structure together across weeks or months of shooting, adapt to subjects who don’t follow a script, and find the story in the material rather than forcing it onto the footage.
Our documentary film production service is built around that reality.
We work with filmmakers and commissioners from the earliest stages of research and development through to a deliverable master — managing the long-form production process in a way that protects both the creative integrity of the film and the practical requirements of whoever is funding or distributing it.
We’ve produced factual and documentary content for media institutions including ABS-CBN and PCMC, which has given us a clear understanding of what broadcast commissioners and streaming platforms need from a production — and how to deliver it without drama.
What this service includes:
- Development and treatment support
- Research coordination and subject access logistics
- Verité and interview-based shooting — flexible crew configurations
- Multi-location and multi-day production management
- Archive research and clearance coordination
- Long-form edit — assembly through picture lock
- Grade, mix, and broadcast or streaming delivery
- Versioning for different markets and platforms
Branded Films & Cinematic Advertising
Branded film sits at the intersection of commercial and craft — and it’s where a lot of productions fall apart, because the production company either doesn’t understand film language or doesn’t understand brand objectives.
Lucca understands both.
We produce branded cinematic content for organizations that want their commercial work to carry the weight and texture of a proper film — not a polished but hollow marketing asset.
This includes long-form brand films, cinematic product stories, cause-driven short documentaries commissioned by brands, and campaign content that’s built to live beyond a media buy.
We work directly with brands and with the agencies that represent them, adapting our role to fit the structure of the engagement.
The creative can come from us, from your agency, or from a director you’ve already attached — we build the production around whoever is carrying the vision.
What this service includes:
- Creative development and script — from brief or from existing treatment
- Director attachment and creative alignment
- Full pre-production — casting, locations, crew, design
- Cinematic production — wide-format capture, controlled lighting, production design
- Post-production — picture edit, grade, sound design, score, VFX if required
- Deliverables for cinema, broadcast, digital, and social platforms
What Filmmakers Get When They Work With Lucca.
We protect the creative, not just the schedule.
Production management exists to serve the film — not to flatten it into something easier to manage. We’ve seen what happens when the production machine overrides the director’s instincts. We run our sets differently.
A network built for serious production.
With over 100 vetted specialists in our production network, we assemble the right crew for each project. Narrative work needs a different crew configuration than documentary, which needs a different configuration than a branded film with a full production design requirement. We build the team to fit the project — not the other way around.
PH–US capability for international projects.
Through Lucca Creatives Global, we support international filmmakers and production companies shooting in the Philippines, and Philippine-based projects that need to service US distributors or commissioners. We understand what both sides of that conversation need and how to satisfy them simultaneously.
Post production that finishes what the shoot started.
Too many productions fall apart in post because the production company’s involvement ended on wrap day. Ours doesn’t. We manage the post pipeline — edit, grade, mix, and delivery — with the same accountability we bring to the shoot itself.
Experienced leadership, operationally sound.
Lucca is led by President & CEO Nico Hernandez and Managing Director Jane Pearl Carino. Their combined experience overseeing productions across broadcast, corporate, and independent film contexts means every project — regardless of size — runs inside a structure that knows how to handle what film productions throw at it.
From the First Conversation to the Finished Film.
Every project starts differently — some come in with a finished script, others with a concept and a timeline. Our process is designed to meet you where you are and move forward from there.
01 — Initial Conversation & Project Assessment
We start by understanding the project honestly — the creative ambition, the practical constraints, and what success looks like for the director and any other stakeholders involved. From there we tell you what we can bring to it and what the production realistically requires. No overselling, no underquoting.
02 — Development & Pre-Production
Depending on where your project is, we work with you through script or treatment refinement, scheduling, budgeting, crewing, location, and design. Every department is briefed from the same document. By the time the crew arrives on set, there are no open questions about what we’re making and why.
03 — Production
We run tight, prepared sets where the director has the space and support to do their best work. Our producers manage the clock and the budget so the director doesn’t have to — but every significant creative decision stays where it belongs.
04 — Post-Production
We manage the full post pipeline: edit sessions, picture lock, color grade, sound design and mix, music supervision if needed, and final delivery in every required format. The director is in the room for the decisions that matter. We handle the rest.
05 — Delivery & Distribution Support
We deliver finished masters in whatever specifications your distributor, broadcaster, or festival requires. For projects heading to international markets or US platforms, our Lucca Global network can support additional versioning, localization, and distribution logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions
We work across short narrative films, feature-length movie production, documentary and factual content, and branded cinematic work commissioned by agencies or directly by brands. We don't have a minimum budget threshold, but we are best suited to projects where the production is complex enough to benefit from end-to-end management — from development and pre-production through a finished post-production master.
Yes — and that's one of the most common ways we work. If a director is already attached and the creative is established, we come in as the production company behind the project. We handle everything from line producing and crew to post, while the director retains full creative control. Our job in that context is to build the best possible production around the vision they're bringing.
We do, and it's an area we're particularly well-positioned to support. The Philippines offers compelling locations, a strong local production talent pool, and a significantly more competitive cost structure than most comparable markets. Through Lucca Creatives Global, we manage all local production logistics, crew, and compliance requirements for international projects shooting here — so the visiting director or producer has a single accountable local partner.
Yes. For filmmakers who come to us in development — before a script is locked or a budget has been formally modeled — we can participate in that process. This includes treatment development, scheduling and budget modeling to test viability, and conversations about financing structure if relevant. We're straightforward about what we can and can't offer at the development stage, and we don't take on projects we don't believe we can serve well.
Our post pipeline covers offline editing and assembly cuts, picture lock, professional color grading, sound design, dialogue editing, Foley, and final mix. We also handle music supervision and licensing coordination, motion graphics and title design, VFX and compositing for projects that require it, and final delivery mastering in all required formats — including DCP for festival and cinema distribution.
Film productions at Lucca are managed under the leadership of President & CEO Nico Hernandez and Managing Director Jane Pearl Carino, with dedicated line producers and department heads assigned to each project. Every film engagement has a named producer who is responsible for the project from development through delivery — not a rotating cast of project managers.
Tell us what you're making. We'll tell you honestly what we can do for it.
Film production works best when the conversation starts early. Whether your project is fully developed or still taking shape, we’re happy to hear about it — and to give you a straight answer about how Lucca can support it.
